Message from the Director
The Resource Planning & Budgeting (RPB) Team was originally created in 2003 to support and advise the Vice-President (Fredericton-Academic). Since that time, it has evolved to facilitate data-driven decision-making for both the Vice-President (Fredericton-Academic) and Vice-President (Finance & Corporate Services) as well as for Faculties and support departments of both the Fredericton and Saint John campuses.

The mandate of our Team is to consider all aspects of issues which are important to you- not just the financial aspect- and help you form recommendations. We are here to help integrate academic and operational priorities with financial realities.
The RPB Team strives to provide Faculties and service departments with:
- Access to service-oriented team members who can help you navigate governance processes, financial and statistical systems;
- Access to a financial and analytical skill set (necessary for data-driven decision-making) to supplement that within your own unit;
- Access to accurate, transparent and timely financial and statistical data about the University of New Brunswick as well as each of its campuses; and,
- A documented (and improving) annual planning and budgeting process integrating financial planning with academic plans, operational plans and the priorities of the University/campuses.
