Bachelor of Science
UNB's size was the reason why it was the right choice for me.
I wanted to attend a university that was big enough to offer
options in my education. At the same time, I didn't want to be
attending a university with so many other students that
I became just a number. UNB is right in between these two extremes.
With small class sizes, especially in the upper years when there were often
less than 10 people in my classes, I had the chance to get to know my professors
on a first name basis. This helped so much when I was trying to get placements
and scholarships for grad school, as professors often have many networks and
contacts that can help you.
But UNB was never so small that it restricted me -
I had the chance to choose courses that interested me and to run for
the Student Union, attend exotic cultural events, and earn a blue
belt in karate. I hope that you choose UNB too - it's a choice that
will diversify your education and enrich your life.

Faculty of Computer Science
I was really surprised by all the new and interesting things
going on in Computer Science at UNB. After two years of receiving an
NSERC undergraduate research award, I'm considering research as a
possible career. I'm planning to specialize in Software Systems.
Right now I'm doing research in bioinformatics and learning about
how computer science is being used to compare, predict, and analyze
RNA structures. I haven't taken biology since high school,
but I get to see how computer science, aside from being a field on
its own, is really affecting completely different fields of study.
The most important skill required to succeed in university is time management. Sometimes it's just not possible to fit all your work into the time you have. And making time for yourself is just as important as making time to finish assignments. My hobbies are reading and playing unbearable amounts of video games."

Bachelor of Science in Forestry and Environmental Management
Our professors are excited to share their research during classes,
which helps students to really understand the subject.
Our small class size encourages student-professor interaction,
which creates a comfortable environment for students to ask
questions and discuss ideas. There are so many amazing areas of
study such as wildlife, environmental studies, computer technology
and wood technology to name a few, that I found it difficult to choose just one.

Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
I chose UNB because of its concurrent Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor
of Science program. It allows me to spread my interests over two
faculties and receive two degrees when I graduate. The teaching at
UNB is simply amazing. It's a great school in a great city and UNB
will prepare me for whatever life throws my way.
