Admission Requirements

 

High School Applicants:

Students must achieve an overall average of 70% or greater and a minimum grade of 60% on the following four subjects:

  • Biology 120
  • Chemistry 122
  • English 122
  • Math 111/112 (includes Geometry and applications in math plus Functions and Relations)

Students must also have 2 electives chosen from Group 1 in the Table of Electives listed in the Admission Requirement section of Undergraduate Calendar.

*NOTE: There must be an overall average of 70% on the 6 subjects. Transfer Applicants with a B average or above will be assessed for Admission. Mature applicants (21 years and over at Admission) are encouraged to apply. Grade 12 Chemistry, English, Biology (or equivalent), Math (Geometry and Applications in Math 111/112 plus Functions and Relations 111/112), with minimum grades of 60%,and an average of 70% is expected. Mature applicants are encouraged to complete University level courses prior to applying to the BN program.

Bachelor of Nursing (Basic Program)

  • Yearly CPR certification - Level C
  • Immunizations
  • Travel to off-site clinical settings; room & board
  • Purchase of uniforms, shoes & equipment
  • Extended sessions in year 2 and 3 require additional 4 weeks room and board
  • Registration exams in year 4
  • Graduation costs in year 4
  • Suicide Intervention Certification
  • Criminal record checks
