Maritime Law Book's online case law website underwent a major overhaul this past spring. The new website makes it easier for people to conduct searches and to find cases listed under the key numbering system. MLB's online system provides access to cases back to 1969, including some cases from New Brunswick that cannot be found in print or in Quicklaw or Westlaw. Don't forget about using MLB when you need to find case law on your topic.
To access MLB, go to the Law Library website and click on eResoruces >> Case Law >> Maritime Law Book. Or you can go directly to www.mlb.nb.ca. In order to access the headnotes for the cases, you will need to sign in with a username and password. Every UNB law student and faculty member has a MLB username and password; if you forget yours, please see Cathy Cotter in the Law Library. MLB does have a free version of the website called Raw Law but you will not receive the headnotes with the free version.
Happy searching. If you need any assistance, please contact Cathy Cotter at cacotter@unb.ca.
