First published in 1947, the University of New Brunswick Law Journal (U.N.B.L.J.) / Revue de droit de l'Université du Nouveau-Brunswick (R.D.U.N.B.) is one of the oldest student-run legal publications in Canada.  It has a circulation of over 1100 copies, with distribution to students and faculty, alumni, members of the bar and law libraries worldwide. U.N.B.L.J. is an annual refereed publication devoted to the consideration of current legal issues, problems and philosophies through the presentation of articles, research notes, comments and reviews. The journal is accessible by subscription and electronically in full text through both HeinOnline (starting with Vol. 1, 1947 -) and WESTLAWeCARSWELL (starting with vol. 42, 1993 -).

Prior to the journal's being indexed in standard periodical indexes, there was no systematic method of finding references to its contents.  Thus, in 1988, the editorial board commissioned a cumulative index to be prepared, covering Vol. 1, 1947 through and including Vol. 36, 1987.  Until now, this index has been available only in printed form.  Because of the limited availability of the printed index, our library has prepared a digitized version for the use of scholars and the public.

The volume includes seven indexes:  author; books reviewed; comments and notes; editorials; photograps; subjects; and titles.
