Information for:
Printing From Your Personal Computer (iPrint)
iPrint is printing software that allows you to print from your laptop to most printers around campus.
Supported Operating Systems and Web-Browsers:
- Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7 using Internet Explorer or Firefox
- MacOS using Firefox
* Note other operating systems and/or web-browsers may work but are not officially support by Integrated Technology Services.
Before you can print to a UNB network printer, you must first install the iPrint client. Once installed, see the 'Using iPrint' section below.
Using iPrint
There are currently two methods to download the iPrint software and begin printing:
- Visit http://labdisplay.unb.ca
Select the building or lab that has the printer that you want to print to. Once the lab listing page is displayed, select which lab you wish to print to and click on the printer symbol. If you do not have the iPrint client installed, it will ask you to install it first. Once installed, or if already found, it will ask you to install the printer driver. After installing the printer driver you will be able to print to the printer you selected above.
Please note that if a printer is not ‘clickable’, the iPrint service is not available for that particular lab. You can request that iPrint be enabled for that particular lab by sending an email to helpdesk@unb.ca.
- Or visit http://studentprinting.unb.ca/ipp/
to view the list of printers you can print to from your laptop using iPrint. Once you logon to the site, if you do not have the iPrint client installed, it will ask you to install it first. Once installed, you can then click on the name of the printer you would like to print to. This will download and install the driver for that specific printer.
