Information for:
Your UNB IT Services (Computing Accounts & Email)
You must activate your IT Services to make use of UNB computer labs and network services. The process sets your email name and PIN. These pieces of information, along with your UNB login ID, allow you to access the following services:
- e-Services
e-Services is your one-stop access point to your personalized information (class and exam schedules, marks, unofficial transcripts, etc.) and secure services at UNB (course registration, WebMail, Blackboard, NetStorage, etc.).
- UNB email account
Your UNB email account may be used for personal communications. Any email from your professors or your department will also be sent to your UNB email address, along with updates on other important information and happenings around campus.
- Novell computing account
This account allows you to login to computing labs and access software, provides space in which to save and access your files and allows you setup a UNB Professional Web Page.
- Unix computing account
The main users of Unix accounts are students taking classes with a programming component, or students who maintain websites for UNB clubs or societies. (You must activate this account separately.)
