Living in Fredericton UNB On Campus Housing UNBF considers residential life to be an important part of to the student’s academic experience. Thus, "The mission of the Residence Community is to contribute to the University experience by providing a supportive living environment conducive to learning, personal growth, respect for diversity and a responsibility for community life." The students and staff of UNB’s residence community encompasses individuals of diverse ethnic, racial, and class backgrounds in an atmosphere of mutual respect for differences. These residential programs are geared towards a unique opportunity for development and learning within a supportive community setting. By choosing to live in residence, students embrace a community lifestyle that provides them with academic support, safety and security, comfort and a sense of belonging, social interaction, and multiple opportunities for personal, leadership and community development. Off Campus Housing This option is often more difficult for exchange students as the common practise of leasing an apartment is a one year contract. Students may also find a roommate who will share responsibility for the lease and let you live together.
