UNB's HEALTHY ACTIVE LIVING CHAMPIONS
Do you know a member of the UNB community—faculty, staff, student or alumni —who exemplifies healthy, active living?
The purpose of this initaitive is to recognize those who have made healthy, active living a priority in their lives through regular and active participation for a sustained period of time. UNB’s Healthy Active Living champions love exercise and demonstrate their commitment through regular engagement.
They may ride their bicycle to work, participate in fitness classes or gym activities, walk or run or swim before or after work or during lunch times, who hike or bike on weekends, and so on.
- they must engage in physical activity a minimum of 3 times per week
- they must have made their physical activity or exercise a life habit by having done so for at least six months
- their habits exemplify "healthy active living" to the UNB community
They might not be elite athletes or sport stars. They may be the person whose office is just next to yours or someone you pass in the hallway on your way to class or work. But they are true champions – they motivate us, inspire us and encourage us. They show us that ANYONE can be active and live a healthy life. And they lead by example.
