UNB's HEALTHY ACTIVE LIVING CHAMPIONS
November 16, 2007 Dual Celebration
Hosted by the Healthy Active Living Champions program, Campus Recreation, Human Resources and the Wellness Committee, a dual celebration was held to honour the latest HALC's and the National Champions UNB Cougars baseball team.
Faculty, staff, students and fans crowded into the Alumni Memorial Building to congratualate the efforts of all the champions. Thirty-one Healthy Active Living Champions were recognized for their leadership and promotion of a healthy lifestyle. They join the ranks of the first 18 champions celebrated in June.
Juie Coldwell of Campus Recreation had the honour of introducing the UNB Cougars as the CIBA National Baseball Champions. This is the second national victory for the team under the incredible leadership of coach Mark Clark. The coach was presented with a shadow box of memories commemorating the team's 2007 victory. AUC Director, Kevin Dickie presented each team member with a season's pass and Terry Haggerty, Dean of Kinesiology congratulated all the champions.
