FOR 4456 Forested ecosystems

An analysis of the forest as an ecosystem, focusing on the interactions among ecosystem components (vegetation, soil, water, atmosphere, wildlife) and the effects of perturbations on the ecosystem. Analysis of the major forest ecosystem types of Canada and the adjacent U.S.A.

Prerequisite: FOR 3455, or an introductory ecology course, or permission of instructor.
