Fundy National Park - Ecosystem Conservation Plan

Fundy National Park's Ecosystem Conservation Plan

Fundy National Park forms the core of the Greater Fundy Ecosystem's intensive study area. The park ecosystems are used as the reference or natural sites for research and monitoring that assesses the effects of forestry on species, communities and processes. Considerable research and inventory has been completed within and adjacent to Fundy but significant gaps in understanding remain. To permit this protected area to serve as the regional benchmark Parks Canada is working to fill in these gaps. The Fundy National Park Ecosystem Conservation Plan (1997) describes and prioritizes the inventory, monitoring, research, restoration, and operational priorities to be worked on for the next several years. If you would like to contribute to carrying out this plan contact Vicki Sahanatien, Park Ecologist, Fundy National Park, Box 40, Alma, NB E0A 1B0. Tel. 506-887-6098. Ce document est egalement disponsible en francais.
