Affiliated Research Groups
Research is conducted through a variety of groups that exist within, or are affiliated with, the Department. There is frequent joint collaboration among faculty members within specific fields of specialization, structures, transportation, etc. Collaborative research across groups is also frequent and encouraged. Research in specific areas is also facilitated through a number of special facilities within or associated with the Department. These include:

Graduate Student Associations

  • Association of Civil Engineering Graduate Students (ACEGS):
    Combining academic studies with social activities can serve to enhance graduate education. All CE graduate students are encouraged to become involved in the Association or the Executive.
