Notes:

How to Determine your Grade Point Average (GPA):

Grade Points = Credit Hours x Grade Point Weight

(a B in CE 1013 gives: grade points = 4 (for credit hours) x 3.0 (for a mark of B) = 12.0)

The University calculates two grade point averages, an Assessment Year GPA calculated at the end of an assessment period (from May 1 to April 30 provided at least 24 ch have been attempted), and a Cumulative GPA based on all work taken towards a degree program.

Assessment Year GPA =
Total Grade Points Obtained in Assessment Period
Total Credit Hours for Assessment Period

Cumulative GPA =
Total Grade Points Completed
Total Credit Hours Attempted

Example:

GRADE POINT AVERAGE -
