Flight
This program
explored the concept of flight, from aerodynamics and ornothology
to flights of fancy.

constructed kites, paper airplanes and hot air balloons

observed birds and learned how they fly

remade, through drawing and painting, familiar scenes from
a "bird's eye view"

read about Mythical beasts that could fly and we created some
of our own

saw how flight is interpreted in music and dance

followed the threads that connect "dreamers" like DaVinci
with "doers" like the Wright Brothers

painted a large mural showing both real and imaginary flights
