Description

The McNaughton centre is a multipurpose resource centre for students at the University of New Brunswick who are registered as IEEE members. Members are able to make use of the fairly large selection of books made available by donation, utilize the computers for web surfing, design work, to print off their labs, or just to chat with friends. Printing is free for members, so joining has a fairly large benefit if you print a lot (but not too much!).

Our room is located at the very top of old Head Hall, in Room 323. There is a lock on the door so that only members are able to enter, but if the door is open most people will be welcomed. The blackboards are available for use and help a lot while studying. Groups of people sometimes go there so that they can work out problems on the boards and help each other out.

Because of the fact that we are in the top of the building, it does get fairly warm up. No need to wear scarfs and mittens to stay warm. You might even consider bringing shorts and T-shirt, but it's your choice. The atmosphere is friendly and open. It is a great way to meet new people.

See you there!

Two of three computers available to use in the McNaughton Centre. They are setup with most of the programs you would want to use.
On the left is our Lexmark laser printer, it is pretty decent, and on the right is the third computer.
This is a collage that was put together by some people, neat looking isn't it.
Our library of books doesn't look new, but the material hasn't changed in years so they are still quite useful. Many of the books are hand-me-downs from professors.
One of the two blackboards, it is occupied at the moment with Electronics II circuits.
The second set of blackboards,
This is Taz, sometimes he gets on top of the computer, he's silly like that.
But then Taz's back starts to hurt and he has to sit in a normal chair.

The table where you can spread your note books on and easily do your homework.
The refrigerator, which would normally house some kind of edible food, and drinkable drinks.

What we are not responsible for.
Can't have an IEEE room without a fire extinguisher.
