January 16th:

Family and Friends of ACEGS

Hope you all enjoyed you break, and are back full force and ready to go with the new
term.

We are kickstarting this term (and new year) with a social at the Grad House on Friday
the January 16th, at 6:30 PM. Please stop by, and let us know how you've been doing. We are also very interested in welcoming and getting to know the new people who have joined us
this term, so please stop by (even if for a little while) to say hello, and meet all of
us.

We will be providing drinks, and light snacks to the lucky ones who will be attending to
help us make a good evening out of this.

Looking forward to seeing all of you soon.

Term/Christmas Social

Tuesday, at the grad house from 3-5pm

Take some time out of your busy schedule to come have a few holiday treats on us. It
will be a time to relax and get into the holiday spirit! If you want to make the
afternoon a little more interesting, make sure to BYOMFB (bring your own money for
booze)....

October 10th:

FREE FOOOD PARTY

It is finally time to get rid of you,
Since you were here for so long.
Clueless, scared, older, and in pain, for
All you did was to add three letters to your name.
So long, go away, find a job, get out of bed,
Wake up at seven am, have a warm shower,
and have a wonderful day.

In other words, we would like to invite you to join ACEGS for a free lunch reception to be held in honour of those graduate students on the verge of completing their studies and research. All civil engineering faculty members and graduate students, whether you're just starting or almost done, are welcome to the lunch. Feel free to drop by for a few minutes or to stay for the entire time.

Date - Friday October 10th
Time - 11:30 to 1:30

Please let us know if you have any food requirements and we will do our best to make sure all is catered to! If soda drinks and juice are too tame for you, we can probably be coerced into a spillover event at the Grad House later on that afternoon. We hope you are all able to make it in order to send good wishes to those who are preparing to enter the workforce...or another degree program.
