  • African Students' Union
    The African Students Union is made up of African students past and present of the University of New Brunswick. The union also embraces in its membership people living in Fredericton, or in the province of New Brunswick, or living in other provinces of Canada who are not students but are interested in African culture, the African people and in general what goes on in the African continent.

  • Bangladesh Cultural Society at UNB
    Bangladesh Cultural Society (BCS) is a non-political, secular, student organization formed by the Bangladeshi students on September 15, 1998 at University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. BCS cultivate a spirit of unity and friendship among the international/local students. We provide support and help to the Bangladeshi students at UNB and STU. We promote Bangladeshi and Bengali heritage, culture and form unity amongst members through fun, cultural and social events and to celebrate our diversity with everybody in the community

  • UNB Baseball Team
    The UNB Baseball Club was constituted on March 11, 1998 and has since won five Atlantic Conference titles and two Canadian Intercollegiate Baseball Association National silver medals. In 2002, UNB hosted the CIBA-ABIC National Tournament at Royal Field, losing to Queens University in the Semi-Final Game.

    The Caribbean Circle has existed at UNB for over 25 years. The society is very active in the international community of the university, promoting Caribbean culture through music, dancing and cultural events. This group is one of the most active on campus.

    ACEGS was formed in 1995 to promote academic and social events not only within the faculty of Civil Engineering but to encourage interaction between other Graduate Student Associations (GSA), the Engineering Undergraduate Society (EUS), the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE), the faculty and staff of Engineering, and the Engineering industry itself.

    The UNB Debating Union meets every Tuesday (6-9pm) and every Thursday (7-9pm) in Ludlow Hall, Room 15. If you want to go through university bored and depressed, then go to class (just kidding). If you want some excitement in your life (real excitement), then show up at a meeting. Debating will develop your leadership, arguing, critical thinking and public speaking skills far better than any other resource on campus...irrespective of who you are.

    The Engineering Undergraduate Society is an umbrella organization comprised of 7 Departmental Societies and has over 400 members! We help to coordinate various activities between the other societies and provide various opportunities to have fun! We hold many renowned events such as the Christmas Formal and Pillar Pubs just to name a few. An Engineering degree can seem very long and drawn out, so that is where we come in. In addition to holding social events to help ease the stress of looming exams, or the monotony of technical courses, the EUS also represents UNB on a national level to ensure our voice is being heard!     UNB Rock & Ice Climbing Clubs promotes climbing throughout New Brunswick, as well as runs the indoor wall at UNB. Our newly expanded gym offers varied terrain for all skill levels, and both indoor and outdoor instruction is available.     Founded in 1997, South Asian Society represents a wide mosaic of cultural backgrounds (representing India, Pakistan, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Nepal) all involved in SAS for one common purpose, vision of unity and to bring out cultural awareness of our region through different events. Some events include bi-weekly movies, radio shows and our annual cultural night. Membership is 5 dollars, and is open to all.

  • UNB Space Society
    The Space Society at U.N.B. is an organization where people interested in all aspects of space may get together. We are currently interested in several areas of space including rocketry (through the Fredericton Rocketry Society), building and flying our own pico and nano satellites, planetary science (in conjunction with the Planetary and Space Science Centre at U.N.B.), human space flight, astronomy and astrophysics, and other areas related to Space. We are also looking into inviting speakers including Canadian Astronauts to give presentations and having trips to important space related locations.     UNB/Stu SPECTRUM provides social and peer support to les/bi/gay students, faculty, and staff. SPECTRUM meets weekly on Wednesdays at 7pm in Rm 19E1 of the Alumni Memorial Buliding.

  • UNB Toastmasters
    UNB Toastmasters helps you improve your public speaking skills by giving prepared, and short impromptu speeches in an informal environment. You also learn to give constructive evaluations and you can work on leadership abilities. We meet every Monday 7-9 p.m. in Head Hall, Room ITC-317 (on level C). Drop by at any of our meetings to see what we are all about.

    The Environmental Society (pronounced En-vi-ron-mental Sauce-eye-itty) began many years ago when an English student referred to "the Albatross" as "the Environmental Society" in an essay. We thought the bungled essay was so funny that we started a society to incessantly ramble on about just how funny it was. We work to promote education and action on environmental issues on campus, and around the Maritimes. We are a member group of both the Sierra Youth Coalition and the New Brunswick Environmental Network, giving members opportunities to travel and meet environmentally aware youth from all over the sweet land of New Brunswick. And yes, we do hug trees, but it's not a requirement for membership...

    We are a group of students who meet every Thursday evening for worship, discussions and fun. We also organize a number of small-group gatherings, a variety of social events, and coffee house-style 'churches' on two Sundays per term
