CAMPUS PLAN

UNB has completed the UNB Fredericton Campus Plan, receiving the approval of the UNB Board of Governor's in October 2003. This plan will set the stage for growth and development on the campus for years and possibly decades to come.

The central focus of the plan is to provide a conceptual physical framework that will accommodate the needs of UNB Fredericton  as it evolves in the coming years. The physical planning framework, which is intended to facilitate campus development as the opportunity occurs, addresses issues such as building sites, parking, road and pedestrian circulation routes, campus gateways, interfaces with the surrounding community, environmental issues, safety and aesthetic quality of the buildings and landscaping.

We would like to take this time to thank those who offered their guidance, feedback and thoughts throughout the planning process. We would also like to take this opportunity to invite all to the public unveiling of the UNB Fredericton Campus Plan, February 4, 2004, at the Wu Conference Centre.

Yours truly,
Mike Ryan. P.Eng.
Associate Vice-President (Campus Services and Planning)
