TD Securities awarded Certificate of Appreciation

TD Securities, one of Canada’s leading corporate and investment banks, was awarded the Faculty of Business Administration’s Certificate of Appreciation at the 20th Annual Business Awards Dinner held this past November at the Delta Hotel in Fredericton.

One of the Faculty’s biggest supporters, TD Bank Financial Group in conjunction with TD Securities donated $400,000 through the Forging our Futures Campaign for UNB to the Faculty of Business Administration in support of scholarships and the Centre for Financial studies.

TD Securities has been an important supporter of the Centre for Financial Studies with their recent five-year financial commitment being the catalyst behind the creation of the Futures Atlantic Symposium.

TD Securities has also supported the inaugural executive in residence speaker series hosted by the Centre for Financial Studies.  Doug Turnbull, Deputy Chair, TD Securities was the inaugural executive in residence and spoke about Maple Bonds in a public event.

Gregory Young, Managing Director, Corporate Derivatives Origination, accepted the award on the company’s behalf. Young, UNB Class of 1984, said upon accepting the award that “[TD Securities] believes supporting education is one of the ways we can help the next generation of leaders reach their academic goals and career aspirations.”

“Universities are at the centre our communities. The University of New Brunswick plays an essential role in helping enrich, develop and inspire the bright minds who will go on to be tomorrow's community-focused business leaders.”

Gregory Young, Managing Director, Corporate Derivatives Origination, for TD Securities accepts the Faculty's Certificate of Appreciation from Dean Daniel Coleman and UNB Vice President (Academic) Jane Fritz
