Two of the Faculty of Business Administration’s alumni were awarded the Faculty’s highest honour, the Certificate of Achievement, at the 20th Annual Business Awards Dinner held this past November at the Delta Hotel in Fredericton.
Graduating from the BBA program in 1980, Andrew Ferrier has since gone on to an illustrious career, including more than 20 years of experience at the senior executive level. His career has taken him around the world from Canada and the United States to Mexico and the United Kingdom.
Currently Ferrier is the Chief Executive Officer for the Fonterra Co-operative Group, based in Auckland, New Zealand, a position he has held since 2003. During his visit to UNB he spent time with the MBA International Management class to speak about his experiences and to share his advice.
Adrienne O’Pray graduated from UNB with an MBA degree in 1992 and quickly rose through the ranks of NBTel before joining the Atlantic Lottery Corporation in 2003 as a corporate strategist. In this position she redefined the mission, vision, and corporate strategy of ALC to better position them to meet the challenges of technological change and increasing competition.
In 2006 O’Pray was named Senior Vice President and is responsible for Marketing, Sales and Service, and Business Technology Services, a position that she holds to this day.
