Carmen Gill is the Director of the Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre for Family Violence Research and is cross-appointed as an Associate Professor of Sociology. Her areas of expertise are in the fields of family, social policy, third sector studies, and violence against women. She is involved in different SSHRC funded research projects related to human service delivery by the nonprofit sector as well as on the community and justice response to intimate partner violence.
