One week prior to the event, the main theme(s) dealt with during the competition will be announced to the competitors. This time may also be used to research announced themes.
Presentation of Problem
The problem must be presented to all competitors and judges on Friday, February 2nd at noon. The category official must provide detailed explanations of what is expected from the competitors, both orally and in writing.

After the question period, competitors will be given time to select materials and begin working on initial designs. After completing the initial 'Material Selection List' the competition director will collect the materials requested by the teams. The materials will be gathered and then placed in the Design Room in the order they were given to the Director.
Development of the Solution
The teams will have ten (10) hours to develop their solution, produce all required deliverables, and prepare their presentation for the judges. All the deliverables must be submitted to the Official before the allotted time expires. Competitors may finish before the end of the allotted time.
