Teams in Innovative Design are required to submit a final report, set up an exhibit (trade show style booth), and present their findings at the competition.
The exhibit should display the design in a clear, concise, well-organized, informative,
and professional manner. Your display should highlight all your KEY findings; this will aid in pitching your idea to the public, judges, and other competitors. A 'final report' containing project drawings, technical and economical analysis MUST be compiled and submitted at registration for judges to review. An exhibit containing a prototype or model to demonstrate the feasibility
of the design is strongly recommended. During public viewing hours, the exhibit must be
staffed by at least one team member in order to answer questions.
The oral presentation should summarize the technical aspects, marketability, and economic analysis. Competitors will be given a maximum of fifteen (15) minutes to present. A five (5) minute question period will
follow the presentation during which the judges and the general public will be allowed to
ask questions, with priority given to the judges' questions.
