"Edmundston Energy - Heat and Power Generation"

This project is to provide a conceptual level feasibility study to examine the potential for a highly efficient, low impact central energy system to be installed for a multipurpose recreational center, allowing the City of Edmundston to increase embedded power production using environmentally friendly power generation technologies.

Category Format


1. Presentation of Problem
Neill and Gunter has prepared the Consulting Package that is now available above.  The information in this document is ALL the information that will be provided until Friday, February 2nd.


2. Question Period
There will be a question period at the Delta Hotel on Friday, February 2nd @ 7:30 pm.  The location will be provided at registration.


3. Report Submissions
A electronic copy of your final report will be due no later than Saturday, February 3rd @ 8:00 am. The email address will be provided at the questioning period.  NOTE: Quality is always better than quantity!


4. Presentation to Judges (Neill and Gunter)
Competitors have 15 to 20 minutes (as determined by the organizers) to present their solution, their deliverables, and to convince the judges/clients that theirs is the best solution for them.  Questions asked during the presentation (by judges) will not take away from the time provided for your presentation.

Additional Information

Teams are authorized to bring any equipment or hardware available to them including:
>USB keys, Diskettes, CD-ROM's, and Reference books.
>Teams shall be allowed to use a  personal computer, portable computer, or PDA
>A computer lab will be available for the weekend of the Competition.  This can be used to finalize reports, research, and preparing presentations.
>Competitors may prepare parts of their presentations ahead of time (Final Report, template, images, etc.)
