Atlantic Second Language Education Resource Collection (ASLERC)
Collection de ressources pédagogiques en langues secondes pour les provinces de l'Atlantique

This collection is permanently housed in the Harriet Irving Library, and is accessible by regular or interlibrary loan to all second language teachers and students in the Atlantic region who have a university affiliation. Our goal is to enhance and strengthen the existing collection. Recent acquisitions include theoretical and practical materials related to the teaching of second languages, especially French and English.

Containing a wide variety of research and pedagogical materials related to second language learning, this collection is very useful for students, academics, and educators. Having access to the latest research is essential for undergraduate and graduate students in second language education. The availability of current teaching materials is also of great importance to both pre- and in-service teachers. The collection includes research texts, commercial programs used in the Atlantic provinces, and professional development materials for in-service and pre-service teachers. It also includes pedagogical multimedia materials such as CDs and videos which accompany commercial programs as well as several stand-alone CD-Roms for English and French language learning.
